Fran's Boutique Bookmark

This is a promotional bookmark I created for Fran's Boutique in Rochester, NY.  It is 2-sided (the right side is the front and on the left side of the dividing line is the back).  I created it by taking sections from an acrylic painting that I did of Angel's Trumpet.

Take a Walk on the Wild Side

Here is my final project of college!  Wow, I can't believe it.  Anyways this in an entry page for a 2-page spread on the popularity of animal prints in lingerie.  I did the animal prints in scratchboard and colored them, combined them, and painted the ribbons digitally.  Graphic design by Sarah Neal!

Just added some digital effects!

This one's in acrylic.  Started it a while ago but didn't finish it until recently.  I love painting flowers!

Make-up: The Bolder Palette

These are three spreads I did for my editorial class with Cristina Maxon.  (cristinamaxondesign.com)  She is such a great designer and is so much fun to work with.  This is all painted digitally including the individual make-up products.

Shel Silverstein Book Covers

Finally finished these book covers that I started back in September!  They are not my normal style at all  but I think they are kind of fun :)

Table of Contents

Table of Contents page for our editorial spread.  It is awesome to have the chance to work with graphic designers.  Painted all the beads, string, and tags digitally.  Graphic Design by Liz Cottone.

Celebrate with Flowers

This is an article that Liz wrote about popular flowers to use for wedding centerpieces.  We worked really well together and in the end, I love how this turned out.  Flowers painted digitally.  Graphic Design by Liz Cottone.

Daisy (Edit)

Another edit of an old piece.

Blossoms of Light (Edit)

Been working on editing some old pieces.  Got rid of all the black in this one and added some more details.

This is another digital painting for my personal focus class.  Painted the background with acrylic paint, glaze, varnish, wood stain and silicone spray.  It was kind of an experiment.  Painted the shoe in Photoshop.

Started this digital painting with the landscape then decided to make it look like a postcard.  I think I like it better as a postcard, mainly because I enjoyed painting the wood texture and glasses.

Coach Wallet

This is the second illustration I did for personal focus.  I am working on pairing object with background with a focus on product illustration and advertisement.  The background was made with a crackle medium and the wallet was painted digitally.

Peacock Feathers

Progress of my scratchboard peacock feathers:

These took quite a bit of time but I love doing details like this.  The actual board was 8 by 10 and the final will be in color.

Midnight Poison

This is the first of a series I am doing for personal focus.  I made the background with a bunch of materials on foam core.  It took forever but I like how it turned out.  Perfume bottle is painted digitally.

Shel Silverstein cover 1

I decided to do something different with this assignment from last quarter, a little less realistic and more fun.  The layout is not final yet but the illustration makes more sense in context so I thought I'd show it.

Old Photo Edit

My mom found this old photo of my grandma.  It is a beautiful photo but has not been taken care of over the years.  It was ripped and stained.  It looks even worse in person, trust me.  Although the actual photo will never be the same, I decided to edit it digitally.  Here are the before and after pictures:

(Actual photo is about 16" x 22")

She is so cute:)

The Beginning

So I finally decided it was time to start a blog.  I do a lot more work than what is posted on my website and I figured this will give me an opportunity to talk about stuff too.  Also, I would love to hear people's comments and critiques.  So here we go...
